“Had a lovely 4 night stay in Queenstown at Brown’s. The boutique hotel has a great location near the center of town, hiking trails, and the gondola. Wonderful breakfasts each morning. Mike and Jane are very nice hosts. They made great restaurant recommendations. The room was a nice size – probably the cleanest bathroom I have seen in my travels. Also a lovely common sitting area on the main floor. Free wifi that worked throughout the hotel with a great signal strength. Overall a lovely stay.”

“My husband and I stayed 7 nights at Brown Boutique Hotel with some friends and we couldn’t have wished for a better location or hosts. Our Hosts were wonderful and so helpful in providing local knowledge about places to eat and booking us into a wine tasting with Grant Taylor at Valli. That was such a special treat.

The hotel is very clean, well run and the staff  are very pleasant. Cooked breakfasts were varied, filling and delicious and we were offered specials of the day which included corn fritters and omelettes. They catered for my gluten free requirements without any trouble at all.  By the time we left, we had become friends, sharing stories over a bottle of wine or two on their wonderful al-fresco patio complete with blazing fire for ambience. It was a shame to leave but we highly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone who wants something a little special.

“After staying in overpriced large brand name hotels in Australia my wife and I absolutely loved the service, location and quality / value of Browns. The Hosts are great keepers and very helpful in planning activities. We would recommend fly / cruise / fly to Milford Sound and Paragliding above Queenstown. Rooms were very clean and comfortable (good linens and soaps) with a nice view of their courtyard and town. Just a short walk to both the village and the Skyline Gondola. Breakfast was delicious – would highly recommend 3 nights at a minimum.”

“This was our third stay at this lovely, centrally located, Italian villa- style hotel and once again we could not fault our stay there. Our spacious room (10) had a Juliet balcony with stunning views over the town and lake and was exceptionally clean and comfortable. I loved the little extras at this hotel such as the jar of home-made biscuits, eco bath products and the scrumptious breakfast menu which changes daily. Our hosts are warm,friendly and full of local knowledge and suggestions to make your stay perfect . It is a short two minute walk into town and the harbour and I cant think of a nicer place to stay in beautiful Queenstown -great value!!”

“We have stayed many hotels over the years and this place is about as good as it gets. The location is very good in that it is a short walk to town, but far enough that you have a little separation. We were welcomed to the hotel, and got a very nice tour orientation. We had a pleasant surprise when we were greeted with a birthday a card and bottle of wine that the owner worked with our daughter on. The rooms are very nice, with great views. Very comfortable beds. The breakfasts are a real treat, with made to order and continental. But the best thing are the owners. I have never stayed anywhere that I felt more at home, and that I really was a guest that they cared about.”

“Our friends had recommended Brown’s to us from a previous stay and we were so grateful that they did. We loved our room, great views, spacious, and wonderful bathroom; all with a special European flair. Loved the French doors out onto the deck and the beautiful tiled patio out front. The breakfasts were delicious, different choices each day, and fun to share around the tables with other guests; always friendly and easy going.

We especially loved our hosts. So helpful in suggesting restaurants which many are just minutes away walking. The location is perfect, there is parking and free WIFI both of which was great for us.  They also helped us book some great tours around Queenstown, Dart River excursion and hiking the Routeburn track. We would love to return and stay once again with the both of them. Thank you both for making our 42nd wedding anniversary such a special time.”
